* We Welcome You!! *
+:: The Girls' Brigade 61st @ Henderson Blog ::+
The reason why I joined GB is that I hope to join a uniformed group as I had been performing in Performing Arts CCA only during Primary School. I hope to experience the thrill, fun, excitement and the drills. Since primary school, I had been watching girls in Girls' Brigade marching to and fro and it seems quite interesting. The best part about Girls' Brigade is when we are doing our drill practices. Drill practices can help us to pay attention and train our minds to memorise all the Malay commands as well as to move correctly and smartly. Singspiration helps us to relax and spend time together. Whereas camping helps us to learn to be independent. It also enables us to enjoy looking at school in the night with the campfire glowing brightly.

I join Girls' Brigade because I want to learn more about christian songs, verses from the Bible and more about God. I was in Girls' Brigade in Primary School but I quit at Primary 5 because I had BP mentoring on the same day and time. So, I wanted to continue joining Girls' Brigade in Secondary School. My sister is also in Girls' Brigade, so she persuaded me to join. Girls' Brigade also teaches me to be mature, and to have healthy attitude. I enjoy Henderson's GB church, ' Wow! Gals! ', which teaches me about facial care and the dangers of plastic surgery. I was shown how Michael Jackson looked before, and how he became white because of several bleaching as well as plastic surgery.

I join the Girls' Brigade because it is partly the school decision and partly my own. I was a GB girl in Primary School. I join GB as my parents advised me to do so. From GB, I could learn more about christianity. I like GB for the drills, camps and other activities.

In Gb, I learn that we should forgive people when they know their mistakes and I learn about God's love. I learn to be honest to people and to respect people older than I. I learn that we should not have boyfriend at our age because it will distract us from our studies. In addition, we are too young to fall in love.
I love to go to the "Wow gals" session because I learn to take good care of my face and I love to listen to what Miss Chua teaches because her talks are very useful.

I like to be a GB girl because I think that GB is fun and interesting. I have learnt alot of things. When I was in primary school, I was also in Gb. I love drills! I want to learn more about drills. I love to march especially during the night! Haha! I also want to learn more about God! I get along well with the other GB girls. As well as the teachers and officers.
I have learnt new songs and drills. I also like to go campings. GB girls treat me very well.
I want to be in GB company because I want to learn to be in GB company because I want to learn more about 'Jesus' and to make new friends. I like the songs and game organised by GB.
I also like the officers! But sometimes, they are very fierce! I am scared of the officers when they get angry!

I have joined Girls' Brigade for more than one year. Although it is my 2nd choice CCA, I am now happy to be a GB girl. At first, I was not happy with it because I do not know most members and GB is a christian CCA and I'm not a christian. I wanted to quit but the teacher in charge told me to try. In the end if I really wanted to quit, the teacher will then reconsider. After a few months, I started to like GB because I get to know my peers who are all very friendly. I also know that not only christians can join this CCA. We are not forced to believe in Jesus, it is our own wish. Now, I am happy to be a GB girl and I will try my best to teach my juniors and uphold the name of my CCA "Girls' Brigade"!

Some tips:
Vinegar functions:- clean your porcelain surfaces at home with *(mix 250ml of warm water + 1 tsp of lemon juice/vinegar)- just learn that u can use vinegar to prevent your clothes color from LUP SEH
Cures for PMT (premenstrual tensions) pains- try herbal tea with low caffeine- take Evening Primose oil- Rub lavender oil into temples to relieve headaches- drink more water- reduce consumption of sugar, fat, salt, caffeine and alcohol to reduce bloating, fatigue and tension....above all if all these things does not work. Again! you can pray in Jesus's Name... i tried it and it works, how about u?
Smelly Shoes?- teabag deodorant "dont have to get those ex ex shoes deodorant just simply put an unused teabag into your shoes to absorb the dampness and smell" Tip: can do that for your phone too!
Humility--- Serve the People...
What is your definition of humility is?
To me is really humble yourself to serve other people... Jesus did that. He washed the feet of His disciples. Do you feel humble when you are asking money from the church members? Or do you feel that these money should be given to you? Don't take it for granted! There is reason why we are doing this... is to learn how to humble ourselves through serving. If you had missed it... maybe is good to take a look at how you can serve people that is around you in order not to miss this lesson of humility.
i'm very encourage by the enthusiasm that our girls have... i really felt that all of you did a great job! Especially all the seniors you have been really guiding and teaching the juniors to learn how to approach.. i really hope that the sec 1s have more confidence and boldness to approach ppl next time hee hee there will be more to come! Be prepared bah...
